2010 Master of Ceremonies - Official Jury Member Sophie Berenice


Sophie Berenice is a rising star and with her unique combination of beauty, warmth and intellect, is emerging as one of the UK’s hottest young actresses.

She has just filmed Momentum Pictures/ Stealth Film’s new Brit flick ‘Everywhere and Nowhere’ with director Menhaj Huda, who directed the smash-hit movie ‘Kidulthood.’
Next year, she will be seen playing Isabelle in the US feature ‘Different Kind of Love’, alongside acting heavyweights Richard Dreyfuss and Juliette Lewis.

Sophie has been cast as the love interest for Jackson Rathbone (Twilight and The Last Airbender). During her career so far she has enjoyed successful collaborations with great directors, including BAFTA winning Robert Young (Fierce Creatures, Eichmann), acclaimed West End theatre director Sarah Wooley and the celebrated Italian film director Luisa Pretolani (Berbablu, Mandy’s Choice).
Further credits include TV series ‘Waking the Dead’ (BBC), ‘Lovebytes’ (Endemol), ‘Sons of Bond’ (Theatre Royal Haymarket) and ‘Morrison’s Birthday Party’ which won at the NY Film Festival last year.

The film ‘Stolen,’ which she also wrote, began her working relationship with Robert Young and they are now developing a number of film projects together. Sophie’s supernatural screenplay ‘Where You Are’ is being produced by Fahrenheit Films. Commercial campaigns include McDonalds and Premier Inn Hotels.
