BIO:

ALEXANDRA BELEGRATI is a Greek screenplay writer, playwright, producer as well as the author of two novels ‘THAT’S THE WAY IT HAD TO BE’ (Iason Books, 2011) and ‘THE BOX WITH THE FLOWERED JEWELRY’ due to be published next year.

Alexandra has a wealth of experience in television as a scriptwriter, chief editor and script advisor for some of Greece’s major channels. She also has many years of experience in PR and Marketing.

Alexandra has just completed working on her screenplay ‘YOU ARE MY ONLY SUNSHINE / THAT’S WHY GOD CREATED WOMEN’ which was shortlisted for an award at the London Greek Film Festival. She is currently working on a TV documentary series based on her life experience ‘IVF - AN OUT-OF-BODY EXPERIENCE’.

Alexandra has also contributes to on-line magazines based in the UK, Greece and UAE and was a blog contributor at TEDx Academy Athens.

Short Summary:

“YOU ARE MY ONLY SUNSHINE” is an emotionally engaging 20th century Greek drama (with some comic moments) about a surviving family in a small village in Greece who suffered during World War Two. We follow their journey and share their universal values such as love, friendship and the power of forgiveness and simple endurance.
